Step 2 Learn The Trill
This style of trill is fairly easy to master and gives a nice flavour to lead
lines. It is used a lot in spanish style but like any embellishment be careful
not to over use it.
The first example is a simple open E to F and back.Simply pluck the top string
( once ) and flick your 1st finger quickly on and off ( once ) at the first
fret.
The second example uses the same technique on the second string but with a note
preceeding the trill (again much used in this style )
Technically , I believe , this single trill should be called a Mordent but
as this term seems to have fallen out of common usage I'm sticking with what
I've always called it.
